about digital colour printing

Robinson Media recognise the value of catering to all our clients' requirements as fully as possible and one area we've made significant investment in is digital print. Our top of the range Hewlett Packard Indigo 3050 offers great quality, has many benefits over litho printing for certain printed matter, and its versatility really comes into its own when you're looking for short runs or personalised items.

Our Indigo can offer you incredibly fast turnaround times on many items due to its quick and easy makeready – no traditional plates or drying time required! It's also flexible; printing on paper weights anywhere between 80gsm – 350gsm, and featuring a wide range of specialist papers including self adhesive and acetate. You'll find the low prices very appealing too – especially for low run quantities, which have traditionally suffered from high makeready costings.

Typical applications of the Indigo include business cards, flyers, posters, tickets, labels of all types, greetings cards, party and wedding invitations, folder inserts and short run but page intensive books and manuals as the on-machine collation makes finishing a doddle.

The real specialty of the Indigo is in variable data – it can use variable text and images to allow complete personalisation within, for instance, a direct mail campaign. Personalising mail has shown to result in up to a 30% response rate, compared to 2% or 3% for standard bulk mailings. Targeting your audience can really work as we've seen from client feedback and, of course, our own experience!
